Escape Alcatraz is a web-based, moderated 70-minute adventure hosted via Zoom (or similar)! Start by gathering your team together – groups of 3 to 6 players can head straight over to our tickets page to book a time slot, and groups of 6+ can email or chat with us to book in advance. Our Warden will then contact you with everything you need to prepare ahead for your escape!
On the event day, you'll work with your team to follow clues and solve puzzles during your attempt to break out of the most secure prison ever built! Our virtual escape game provides a unique interactive experience, designed for families, friends, corporate groups, and anyone else looking for an adventure!

What is a virtual escape room?
A virtual escape room is a web-based, moderated game that is conducted over a video conference platform like Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams. In a virtual escape room, a group of players works together to uncover clues and solve puzzles in order to “escape” from a themed location. Players will need to demonstrate great communication, teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving skills to successfully complete the adventure within the time limit!
How much does it cost?
Escape Alcatraz costs USD $26 per player (minimum 3 players). For small groups (3 - 6 players), tickets can be purchased here. For groups larger than 7 or for corporate team building enquiries, you can reach out to us here or give us a call at +1 415 800 3157.
What times are available to book?
We are available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week! Please note that online bookings (up to 6 players) can only be made at least 1 day in advance, and group bookings (7+ players) should be made at least 5 days in advance.
How long will the game last?
Each game lasts roughly 75 minutes.
Is there a moderator for the game?
Yes! Each game will be moderated by a trained facilitator (or Warden, as we call them). This is a self-paced game, but the Warden is there to provide general guidance and official hints to help you progress through the game.
Can I join from a mobile phone?
We recommend you to join the game from a computer browser for the best experience. Our escape game incorporates a number of games and puzzles that are best played from a computer.
Can children play?
Yes! We recommend our games for ages 13 and up, but can accommodate players of all ages. Some game content may be too difficult for players under 13 and an adult (18 or older) must participate with anyone under 15.
What languages do our game moderators speak?
We can assign you to a moderator that speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Bahasa Melayu/Indonesia, Spanish, Russian, Polish, Jamaican Patois or Ukrainian (if you would like a non-English speaking moderator, you can request this at the checkout page or when booking through email). However, please do note that all of our game content is currently only available in English and Spanish.
